HAPIS Sayaaang

SAYAAANG, Happy birthday, my love. Of all the coincidences that could have happened, I'm grateful we were brought together at SCI. Me doing my internship, and you busy as a research assistant. Amid the same busy days, in the same space, there you were. I still remember how awkward our first conversations were, until they became familiar, until I always found myself wanting to make time to talk to you. June 13th is a day I remember clearly, the first time we went out, just the two of us. And nine days later, on June 22nd, is a day I'm grateful for every time I think of it: the day you officially became mine, and I became yours. I love our little moments. Going to or coming home from SCI together, even if only once in a while, has always been one of my favorite parts. Especially when it ends with us eating or grabbing a snack together. Those simple things make me realize that happiness doesn't always have to be grand, sometimes it's enough to just have you by my side. On your birthday, I just want to say: thank you for being part of my days, thank you for your patience, and thank you for being the Hapis I know, the one who makes everyday life feel lighter. I hope this year brings you many good things. I'm here, as always, to walk beside you on whatever comes next. Happy birthday, Hapis. I love you.
